Djouce Fitouts worked hard to restore the shine on this authentic Irish cottage dating back to approx 1830 - 1860. The team installed a brand new roof structure and covering, ensuring durability but also importantly, authenticity for this restoration project. We conducted extensive groundwork, underpinning the walls to reinforce the foundation and ensuring the structural integrity of the cottage for generations to come.
From rewiring to integrating a new underfloor heating system with thorough insulation, no detail was overlooked in this ground-up restoration project.
Despite its historical charm, the cottage residents will enjoy modern performance standards, all achieved while utilising local, traditional materials. This maintains its authenticity while ensuring modern comfort and efficiency, as well as a decent heating bill for the client.
